Review of tag movie12/18/2023 ![]() ![]() Still, the opening scene was dope, so I'll give them that. TAG honestly doesn't feel like a movie to me. This is a movie I'll put on in a room full of friends just to fuck with them. It never has a resolution or moment where there's actual romance going on? It's honestly stupid to have it in the movie if you're not going to do anything with it? It would make sense if you got to know the characters, but the film just throws you into shit almost immediately. The tags for movies were generated using the IMDB dataset. Details are often strong and clear allowing for a full appreciation of facial features, the jungle locations, and some of the gritty grotesque gore effects. Moments in the first twenty or so minutes were gory but cheesy, so it wasn't any special.įinally, the attempt at making a lesbian romance for the movie was kind of distracting from the rest of the movie. A tag is generated based on the analysis, and the tag list is stored as a CSV file. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original interpositive elements, Dog Tags attacks Blu-ray with an often impressive 2.39:1 1080p transfer. ![]() This film is categorized as a splatterpunk, but the film isn't really that violent. Summary For one month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running in a no-holds-barred game of tag they’ve been playing since the first graderisking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take each other down with the battle cry You’re It. I felt like it was unnecessarily drawn out, and the music and transitions tried to make it emotionally manipulative even though you didn't know who the hell the characters were, so it was utterly pointless to end the movie the way it ended. That's definitely not how teenage girls act.Īlso, the ending was really dumb. They were well acted to some degree, but I really didn't want to see teenage girls scream and flash their panties to everyone. Everything is presented at an alarming pace, so when things even remotely slow down, the film seems boring.Īlmost every schoolgirl character was annoying as fuck, and having to be with them the majority of the movie was incredibly annoying. The actors are all brilliant, the movie pace is uptempo and it really needs to be, because it doesn’t have a build up – it’s straight in! The movie music selection even had me going “yeahhhh”.īeing a guy, I found the movie Tag hilarious however, it’s probably not so appealing to girls, but I don’t want to sound sexist – so boys and girls give it a watch for yourself, it’s available right now on Netflix.First of all, this film is fucking confusing. The movie starts so ridiculously it’s hard to imagine (after you’ve spat your drink out), how it can keep up the ridiculousness for one hour and 45 minutes, but somehow they not only sustained but maxed-out the ridiculous level of the story-line, combat scenes and humour. The conceit of a game of tag could have easily run out of steam before the final credits, but this movie keeps it going. Written by Rob McKittrick and Mark Steilen, and Directed by Jeff Tomsic (his feature directorial debut), this 2018 American comedy film had me laughing out loud from within moments of it starting. A great R-rated romp about friends staying together through thick and thin. One player is undefeated and getting married, but that doesn’t stop this group of five friends dropping everything, going to extreme efforts and risking their lives to play tag, despite being adults. This is a story about a group of friends who have been playing tag for 30 years and despite being older with careers and responsibilities, play the game each year during the month of May. Maybe Tag resonated with me because deep down, I’m a big kid and I like the idea of not having to grow up. I’m not sure if I enjoyed it so much because I miss playing tag, or my childhood friends. Tag, released this summer, explores the true story of a group of adults playing the classic game long after their peers have traded their teddy bears and. This $78M Box Office movie is comedy gold. ![]() ![]() Imagine a modern version of Big ( Tom Hanks), blended with the ridiculousness of The Hangover (both starring Ed Helms), with a hint of The Bourne Legacy ( Jeremy Renner), and then throw in some Ted style crudeness. As far as films go, Tag is a perfect example of comedy movie-making at its finest. ![]()
